Kelly Tarltons ReportWhen the year 5's went to Kelly Tarltons we had a breathtaking expierence because there were;
penguins, Stingrays, Rockpools with shrimps & crabs and lots more.
Penguins
When we went over to the penguin section we saw different penguins some big. some fat some small and
even small baby penguins. One of the penguins kept on tapping the glass and everyone was laughing
since he was so cute. When it was feeding time the manegers piled lots of sardines out to them, the penguins
gobbled them up.
Rock Pool
Most of us put our hands in the rock pool, it may sound boring but there were shrimps swarming round
the rock pool and we were aloud to pick them up using a special technique. After a while of us doing that the managers told us not to do it any more
because the shrimps got a bit tired and scared. Also in the rock pool a big red crab lurked around the rocks we weren't aloud to touch it though.
Playroom
One of the most fun parts of the trip was the play room. Firstly the squid suckers you put a sucker on your arm press a
button and you would know how powerful squid suckers were, there was a really cool fake shark mouth which was mainly
for taking photos in, there was a penguin table soccer we played on that for ages. We have lots of photos from the playroom.
Aquariums
In the main aquarium there were tremendously big fish over a foot long and stingrays that were many years old.
In the other aquarium there were lots of types of sharks that freaked some people out, everyone noticed the yellowtail
kingfish, going along the second aquarium there was a moving pathway that we went on several times.
You should go to kelly tarltons if you haven't been there before you will have a wonderful time
